The NSW state has many natural resources on offer. In many parts of the state, Opals, Copper, Zinc-Lead Ore, Phosphate, Coal, Gold and Silver mines are present. Gemstones are also mined in the Snowy Valley’s region, as well as many other types of rocks, such as Sedimentary, Igneous and Limestone.
Renewable resources such as Eucalyptus, Acacia, Melaleuca, Casuarina, Mangroves and Callitris trees all grow in NSW, and fishes such as Tuna and Billfish are also found off the east coast. The NSW soil varies in types. Near the coast the soil is quite moist and healthy, and as you get further into the outback the soil gets drier. |
